Dudu is one of brazil’s most colourful and exuberant creatives. He is a libertarian always exploring new meanings and shapes in his art works and images. On top of the subversive, sexy and tropicalist touch, his work is interested in thinking the vibrant Brazilian identity inserted in the global landscape as a way to develop something contemporary. He was responsible for the curatorship of some exhibitions such as chita na moda and Renda-se both at A Casa Museum. As a performer he developed cafturas, the creatures in caftans, a series of happenings with artists striking poses with the caftans he creates. Dudu is multitalented and above all an image composer, having worked as a stylist and given creative direction to several campaigns for brands such as Melissa, Christopher Alexander, Morena Rosa, Arezzo on top of editorials for magazines like L’Oficciel Brasil, I-D, Elle and U Mag among others. With Neon, the fashion brand created with Rita Comparato, he could show how far his creative impulse can go by building not only a rich brand DNA but also carefully thought visuals, designs and artistic collaborations. During 10 years Neon grasped the spirit of brazil in exotic and iconic pieces mixing the attitude of the city with the spirit of the beach. This endeavour took him to develop several licensing collections with fashion and design brands for which he also gives creative consultancy. Recently Dudu have become a reference for lifestyle on Brazilian media having participated in some Globo TV shows as a presenter. He is also responsible for the fashion and creative consulting of several channel’s series and programs. He has become a truly Brazilian entity not only in the media but also in the fashion and arts world.
