Filipe is an itinerant Brazilian soul surfing around the world. He is the incarnation of the carioca imaginary: relaxed, understated, charismatic and smiley. Hi is also a talented and poetic illustrator sought after dozens of international brands. Graduated from the Belas Artes University of Lisbon, he has colonised several world cities with his bon vivant carioca spirit. From Lisbon to Geneva, Hawaii, Paris or Guethari, but always with a resourcing return to his beautiful Rio de Janeiro from time to time. His images illustrated several Brazilian magazines as well as the New Yorker. He has collaborated with several luxury brands imprinting his rich universe such as Louis Vuitton’s carnets de voyage, the Tiffany’s & co store in Wall Street, as well as illustrations for Hennessy, Air France, Sephora and Chandon. His work comes to life also in collaboration for products with other fashion houses such as the famous Hermès scarfs. His designs can also be seen in dresses from Issa London collections and the Brazilian fashion brands Neon and Forum. The unpretentious trace of Filipe inspired a premium collection for Converse with unique designs for their iconic snickers. On top of these collaborations, he develops artistic pieces that can be seen in the underground 2 Fanzine and his own book, Sketches & Snaps.
