SURREALIST ILLUSTRATOR OF UNUSUAL IMAGINARY ENCOUNTERS
Laurindo Feliciano is an award-winning Brazilian artist, illustrator and art director. His style combines a vintage look with modern compositions that employ a collage method and digital painting. His work is directly inspired by his own collection of vintage books, magazines, postcards, letters, essays and record sleeves.
He produces collages in the spirit and tradition of A Week of Goodness by Max Ernst, but with a sense of temporal, spatial and cultural distance that is even stronger, offering small contemporary enigmas that relate to the question of memory, both individual and collective. He has lived and worked in France since 2003.
Selected clients and collaborations: Le Monde, Netflix, Heineken, Universal Music, Victoria & Albert Museum, British Airways, Mr Porter, Nestlé, Penguin Vintage, Cosmopolitan, Pentagram, Granado, Kiehl's, and many others.
