Rita Wainer was born in São Paulo in 1977. Illustrator, plastic artist, street artist and fashion designer, she is all of that. After years of fashion and parading her collections at SPFW and Fashion Rio, she decided to dedicate herself to her illustrations.
In her art she plays with expressive features in a playful universe composed of bloody hearts, stars, flowers, sharks filled with tearful, loving girls and text combinations. She uses a women alter ego to claim nowadays feminine role. Her art touch into deep feelings and is straight forward about universal feminine questions.
Rita likes to create with mixed medias, she puts her ideas on paper, plates, walls or any other platform that gets her creations. She uses the Internet intensely as a communication tool, both for sale and for the dissemination of its images through social networks. she lives and works in Rio de Janeiro since 2013.
