To start, to erase, to re-think. Verena Smit is a photographer and visual artist, but above all someone who is free enough to test new forms of art. Her work blooms in delicate and poetic images, sometimes showing the ugly to reveal the beauty in a very meaningful universe where sincere irony prevails.
Gradiated in cinema and recently with a graduation from the International Center of Photograpgy in NY, she goes from photography to arts in general. Verena has collaborated several times with magazines such as Marie Claire and Harpers Bazaar. After Alessandro Michele from Gucci discovered her work, the artist has been collaborating with the brand for digital projects. In 2016, she was spotted by Vogue Brasil as the new name to follow in Brazilian arts. Her work has already been shown in NY, Sao Paulo and Lisbon.
